Continuing Education Division

Overview

The Continuing Education Division develops the skills of the university's academic, administrative and technical staff and shares the university's expertise with the wider community through training courses, workshops and seminars. In doing so it promotes lifelong learning and connects the university with the institutions and needs of society.

Responsibilities

Preparing the annual plan of courses and workshops based on the needs of colleges and units.
Organising teaching-methods and educational qualification courses for new lecturers, in line with Ministry instructions.
Running courses in computing, languages and administrative skills for staff.
Offering courses and training programmes for public-sector employees and the community.
Issuing certificates of participation and keeping trainee records.
Evaluating completed courses and measuring their impact on participants' performance.
