Overview
The University Psychological Counselling Division provides students with psychological and educational support, helping them adjust to university life and overcome academic, personal or social difficulties. It works in confidence and with respect, in cooperation with the academic advisers in the colleges.
Responsibilities
- Receiving students who seek psychological or educational counselling and providing individual guidance.
- Organising orientation programmes to prepare new students for university life.
- Following up struggling students in coordination with the colleges and helping them improve.
- Holding seminars and workshops on study skills, time management and coping with exam anxiety.
- Training the academic advisers in the colleges and following up their work.
- Conducting studies and surveys on common student problems and proposing solutions.
