Computer and Network Maintenance Division
Overview
The Computer and Network Maintenance Division keeps the university's computers, peripherals and wired and wireless networks in working order and repairs faults as quickly as possible. It extends the life of equipment through regular preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Receiving maintenance requests from units and repairing faults in computers and printers.
- Installing operating systems, software and security programs on devices.
- Laying and extending networks and maintaining wireless access points.
- Monitoring network performance and resolving outages.
- Carrying out regular preventive maintenance of equipment and computer laboratories.
- Inspecting new equipment on delivery and checking it against specifications.
