Overview
The University Journal is a peer-reviewed scholarly periodical that publishes original research in the disciplines taught at the university and related fields, and is open to researchers from within and outside the university. It is committed to rigorous peer review and publication ethics, so that what it publishes keeps its value.
Responsibilities
- Receiving submitted papers and screening them for compliance with the journal's requirements.
- Sending papers to specialist reviewers, following the review process and informing authors of the outcome.
- Checking papers with plagiarism-detection software before accepting them for publication.
- Copy-editing and preparing accepted papers, and producing the journal's issues in print and online.
- Issuing letters of acceptance to authors.
- Working to meet the requirements for including the journal in recognised indexes and scientific databases.
- Publishing the journal's policy, author guidelines and publication ethics.
