Scientific Affairs Division
Overview
The Scientific Affairs Division organises and follows up the university's scholarly and research activity, from research plans and academic promotions to conferences, seminars and publication; the University Journal reports to it. It works to raise the academic standing of the teaching staff and strengthen the university's research presence.
Responsibilities
- Following up the research plans of academic departments and staff research projects.
- Completing, checking and following up academic promotion files in line with the promotion regulations in force.
- Organising conferences, seminars and scientific discussion sessions in coordination with the colleges.
- Following up the updating of curricula and course syllabi according to Ministry guidance.
- Following up staff participation in scientific conferences and events in Iraq and abroad.
- Documenting the research output of the teaching staff and maintaining a database of it.
